Who we are

Nordica SEO Optimizer is a Shopify app made by Variegata Nordica (Mallory Berthomé) that checks a store’s products and collections for what Google reads, and helps fix it. Questions about this policy or your data: hello@nordica-apps.com.

What the app stores

• Your store’s address and Shopify access, so the app can open in your Shopify admin.
• A short copy of each product and collection: its title, address, brand, type, SEO title and description, the first 300 characters of its description, and how many photos lack alt text.
• Photos without alt text (the link and the suggested text) and broken links with the suggested redirect.
• Check results: counts per problem and what changed, kept up to 13 months.
• Changes you make with the app, with the value before and after, so they can be undone.
• Messages you send with “Contact support” or “Suggest an improvement”, and the email address if you add one.
• Technical error reports: your store’s address, the page and the error, so problems can be fixed.

The app stores no customer data and reads no orders.

Who processes the data

Cloudflare hosts the app and its database (under Cloudflare’s data processing terms). Shopify provides the store data and handles billing. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising, and no data is sent to an AI service.

What the app changes in your store

Only what you click (or, on Pro with “Keep it fixed” on, new products after each weekly check): SEO titles and descriptions, photo alt text, and URL redirects. Every change can be undone for 30 days. The structured data embed is turned on and off by you in the theme editor.

How long it is kept

While the app is installed. When you uninstall, your sign-in data is deleted at once and checks stop; 48 hours later, when Shopify asks for the store’s data to be erased, everything is deleted. Changes you made stay in your store: they are yours.
